Barrow, Gallego and Rahall are gone. Barber and Costa may very well be out the door too. Gwen Graham and Brad Ashford could join, but with no white Dems left in the deep south, is there any point of this organization still existing?

11 of their members will be in the 114th Congress and I agree that Ashford and Graham would probably join. I have to imagine that they might try to recruit other members like they did in the last session.

Is Loretta Sanchez still a Blue Dog?

I don't know why she was ever in it.

No. They will remain and will gain some members from Missouri,  Iowa, etc. Later in the decade.

I don't know why she was ever in it.

She used to have a decently competitive seat. Joined it mainly for the label, never voted their way.

Of the remaining members:
-Colin Peterson and Sanford Bishop are decent bets for retirement.
-Jim Cooper, David Scott, Kurt Schrader, and Mike Thompson could also retire this cycle.
-Cheri Bustos and Kyrsten Sinema are members pretty much only for the label, and I expect both might be more liberal now that they have both survived two races with convincing numbers.

That pretty much just leaves Dan Lipinski and Henry Cuellar, and even if Gwen Graham and Bruce Ashford join, that hardly forms a caucus.

Did she lose a bet or something?

Probably, early next year I would say.  With its southern white members for the most part gone, the remainder will likely join the New Democrat Coalition instead.

Peterson has reportedly told some reporters that he plans on running until 2020, purely to spite Republicans.
