I do wonder if Cotton's internals showed him winning by 20 points or if he was as surprised as we were yesterday.

McConnell's had him up 7 and he won by 16, so I'm guessing the latter.

Indeed.  It appears that Appalachian/Highlands polls overestimate Dems significantly, at least for this cycle based on AR/KY/WV.
