Starring Anthony Brown as Rick Berg, Ed FitzGerald as Todd Akin, Martha Coakley as Dick Mourdock, Charlie Crist as George Allen, Pat Quinn as Tommy Thompson, Mike Michaud as Denny Rehberg, Bill Walker as Angus King, and John Hickenlooper as Dean Heller.

Both were simultaneously funny and sad.  I'm going with 2012, if only because as a Democrat I can find it more amusing.

The 2014 Democratic wave, since even when at its peak polls never showed Ds gaining more than 3 and still having a minority of governorships.

Pat Quinn played Scott Brown, I believe.

Also: Scott Walker as Bob Menendez, Jason Carter as Heather Wilson, and Wendy Davis as Linda Lingle

Anyway, 2014 because it's more recent and because I didn't really follow the senate races in 2012 except for MA.

I thought about that at first, but I think the screenwriters adjusted the script a little. Instead of a popular incumbent losing to a stereotypical member of the opposite party due to his state's partisan lean, this election featured an unpopular incumbent losing to a stereotypical member of the opposite party in spite of his state's partisan lean.

2012 was easily more amusing with Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock. 2014 had fangate in Florida but that's about it.
