Some of those careers were nonstarters, but yes, good list.

Mark Begich is still alive and kicking and I think he can still have a future.

I'm not entirely sure about Wendy Davis, but otherwise this list is spot on.

Oh, I think her political career is dead, but I definitely think she has a shot at being a talking head.

Had she not gotten completely blown out of the water, I could've seen a future for her. But the blowout was just embarrassing, even factoring in that it was a Republican wave.

She just performed like a generic Democrat, which isn't bad considering it was a midterm. Let us see where she can get with a good turnout.

Don't agree with Electionsguy's additions. John Barrah could still run for governor or something. Horsford and Shea-Porter will probably run again in 2016 and have a good chance at winning.

I could see Gallego, Schneider, Horsford, and Shea-Porter all trying again in 2016 (and with good shots to win). I didn't include Southerland because I could also see him trying again even though he really has no right to. Barrow would still make a decent statewide candidate despite his loss.

I think Garcia could definitely win back his seat in 2016 if he wants it, same with Gallego (who'd be a solid favorite over Hurd if he runs), Horsford (whoever the Democrats run is probably a lock to retake this seat in 2016 given that it's and presidential year *and* Reid is on the ballot Tongue ), and Schneider.

Garcia has run in the last four elections, and his only win was when his opponent was under investigation from the FBI. I think it's time to bench him.

Yeah, I can't imagine Cresent Hardy or some of those other no name Republicans in Democrat districts holding on. Count on him being a goner, even if 2016 ends up being worse than expected for Democrats.

I was gonna say -- couldn't Barrow just run next time? He'd probably win his seat back in 2016 with presidential level turnout.

Richard Tisei is almost certainly going to be appointed to the Baker cabinet, and could run for his old state senate district (currently held by a Democrat*). Also, Scott Brown will likely be a cabinet appointee of the next Republican governor in NH.

Edit: *And unopposed by a Republican in 2014! A microcosm of how pathetically incompetent the MAGOP is.

Garcia barely lost this year and it's not like we have a huge bench in that district (IIRC).  He's probably our best shot at picking it up in 2016.

Wendy Davis was running for MSNBC talk show host from the start. Although she may have blown it by being such a joke candidate.
