It's a well known fact that islands exert a tremendous influence on voting behavior. The constant presence of high levels of humidity creates an imbalance that moves people away from the ideal water, air, earth and ether equilibrium.
I'm a rather imbalanced islander and can testify that is true, rational behaviour is impossible when levels of humidity are usually above 80%. Is that the case in that NYC borough?
It would be fascinating a lecture on "gemeinschaft" and "identity politics" in Staten Island.
