Hopefully now he votes like a real Democrat since he can't win reelection.

He's damned if he does, and he's damned if he doesn't. So I say do.

Udall is not more liberal than Gardner is conservative, so their support makes no sense. Gardner sold himself as a non-partisan, pro-choice moderate, but the opposite is true, he's a conservative Republican. I don't blame Manchin.

No Labels is annoying, so I don't blame Manchin for getting away from them.

Will Manchin be Mark Pryor or Susan Collins? Judging from 2012 I'm guessing the latter, but time will tell.

I'm not exactly a Manchin fan, but he was the only Democrat to win in a Romney state in either 2010 or 2014.

I had thought he'd switch parties.  Unless this story is contrived, forget that idea.

meanwhile Udall sold himself as a liberal ideologue. If No Labels' primary focus is on what type of campaigns candidates are waging, then it makes sense they backed Gardner. Looking at legislative records on the other hand might have given them a different idea.

As conservative as Manchin is, he's more of a Democrat than Cuomo.

Good, I hope Sen. Manchin will uphold West Virginia's populist liberal tradition of Byrd, Randolph, and Rockefeller.
