That would be beautiful. I hope Ted Cruz sees this poll. Surely the number is even higher among his constituents.

Weak.  Both on your part for the sensationalistic thread title, and on the part of the irresponsible journalists at whatever backwater publication provided this to you.

If Congress actually does this, it will only be a popular move among Republicans. Considering that 67 votes is needed to convict, it would be a waste of time, anyway.

Benghazi and the IRS, I think.

But what are they going to impeach him for?

They'll start with his abysmal handling of the response to Hurricane Katrina, and go from there.

I'm sure they'll find a way to keep Senate Democrats from showing up.

That's a little less than I expected, but Republicans won't do it.

That doesn't fix the problem. You need 2/3 of the entire senate, not 2/3 of whoever shows up on a given day. This means they'll need 13 democrats (assuming AK and LA go republican in the coming weeks) to crossover and convict the president.

That's probably 3.5% of it, with the other 3.5% being Zell Millers/Oklahoma "Democrats" that vote 100% Republican but still haven't changed their affiliation (not you Bushie).

Actually no, you don't which is scary.  Here is the text from the constitution.

And since you only need 51 to establish quorum, you could have the case of 34 senators voting for impeachment, and it going through.

That would amount to a coup. That might be one of the few things that Congress could do that could bring America to the brink of a Civil War.

It would, and it is all possible right now.  Democrat's or Republican's could take advantage of it.

But what are they going to impeach him for?

Allowing the EPA to regulate things, and getting an American POW released.
