Makes sense that a politician from New Jersey would think political corruption is no big deal.

Anyone who actually understands politics and cares about this country knows that money in politics is a massive problem.

No GOP candidate will take a different position on donation limits but I wonder if any will go further and say if you're citing First Amendment rights to support unlimited donations, it also supports anonymous donations.

Money doesn't equal speech in any logical world since freedom of speech is meant to be equal. Money isn't. It's pretty simple, and ludicrous that anyone would think otherwise.

LOL! And where will your podium be, without money? In a public park?

Of course money equals speech, because you cannot convey your views without media coverage which is not free.

Maybe it fails the abstract concept of "free speech", but surely people can recognise that politicians spending over half their waking hours fundraising is a becoming an out of control trainwreck.

Unlimited contributions is arguably a solutuion to that.

It would enable politicians to get the money they need to compete faster.

There is, of course, the fact that the nebulous ideal of "free speech" is overrated, but the right-wingers here are hilariously naive as to what would happen if campaign finance regulation were completely eliminated.

You express your views by voting and getting groups of people organized with similar ideas. If your idea is popular it will flourish.

lol, Christie's grasp of public policy is so hilariously/frighteningly juvenile. It's like the only part of his job that he enjoys is yelling at teachers and nurses while the crowd cheers him on. No wonder he's destroyed New Jersey's economy.
