Good movie, but hard to live up to The Lion King that preceded it and The Hunchback of Notre Dame that immediately followed.

Good Concept, but like Hercules and Hunchback, Disney was better leaving this one alone.

The moment when Disney's love of sidekicks turned from fun and cute into a nigh on mania. Also fairly cliche driven and a real let down from the gigantic hype that proceeded it.

Meh. Not the best of the 90s Disney films.

I didn't like Disney films as a child, but that didn't stop my Grandma from buying VCR after VCR for us Tongue.

I hated and still hate Hunchback; that movie scared the hell out of me.

Never cared for this one as a kid, everyone except the raccoon looked so ugly.

Then I learned the actual history,...and that made it worse.

And then accepting it as entertainment and historical abridgment, I found Ratcliffe too one note, John Smith too boring, and the general tropes used very tripe and cliche.

This movie effectively murdered Disney's Renaissance and put them in a hole (with only Lilo and Stitch, Mulan, Hunchback, and Emperor's New Groove shining out) until they bought Pixar and let that head control everything.

Haven't seen it myself, but the people at Honest Trailers seem to share your opinion.

Most of the comments seem to agree that the real life Pocahontas is the hottest one in this video, though I'm also quite partial to Belle (and the Frozen sister not in the cold room because of her hipster look)

Haven't seen it since I was little, but I don't really care to see it again.  Not one of Disney's best.

When I was little, I called Pocahontas "Coke-ahontas," and Governor Radcliffe was "Governor Engler." Meeko was "Nicco" because my aunt had a cat with that name.  Tongue

This was my favorite Disney movie as a kid and I still like it pretty good. I always loved the animation here the colors are just gorgeous to look at. It has some good actors voicing in it and I don't mind the songs. Besides Tarzan this was my favorite pure Disney cartoon of the 90's.

History wise it sucks but they wanted to make it for little kids so they couldn't do much of it.

Other than the Lion King, the Pixar movies (with the exception of the cars/assorted talking vehicles movies, Toy Story 2, and The Incredibles which were HMs), and Bambi, all of Disney's movies have been HMs.

WTF? What did Toy Story 2 do wrong that, apparently, Toy Story and Toy Story 3 did right?

@Carmenlengo: Toy STory 2 was the best of them by a long shot and seriously no Hunchback love...okay that's it, I'm starting up a poll on this one.

That and the fact that The Incredibles is a fine movie.

I don't know how you can think ANY Pixar films other than Toy Story 1-3 are FMs.  And with the exception of Mulan, The Princess and the Frog, and possibly Tangled and Frozen (which I still need to see), nearly every Disney film has been an HM.

I've never seen Wall-E, and I don't care to see it.  I saw Up with my little cousins when it first came out, but I thought it was the same old Pixar/CGI formula (post-Toy Story): cold, lifeless animation stuffed with vapid, juvenile, grade school garbage.  I miss seeing traditional animation on the big screen.  CGI is like saltwater; the more you drink, the more thirsty you get.

Seriously? Even people I know who don't normally like animation liked Up. I fail to see how this is lifeless or juvenile.
