Can we all agree that Arlen Specter switched parties because he thought his primary was going to be tough? With that in mind, if he had decided to be a man and stay GOP, who would have won between he and Toomey?

Specter would've lost in a landslide. He almost lost in 2004 even before the Tea Party was a thing, so he would've been doomed in 2010.

Considering Sestak only lost by 2 points after that divisive primary, it's plausible he could've won with a clear field. And Toomey would've then been the one with a divisive primary on his hands.
