I've never been sent home, but I had to leave work early one time about 3 weeks ago because I got so ill that I couldn't even stand up.

Pretty frequently given that I'm paid for ten hours of work per week, but I don't always have ten hours' worth of work to do.

Frequently. I have a pretty sweet work study job where, for example, I'll get assigned a 3pm to 9pm shift but we're usually done with everything by 7 or 8 so they just let us go early, but still pay us for the full six hours.

We had a few days in the Navy where work on the ship was done a bit earlier than usual and we got let go around 1400 rather than the normal 1500.  Almost always on a Friday so the senior guys in the division could get out of there, too.

During my internship on the campaign in 2012 or my six weeks at Miami Subs, I never left early and often stayed late to help.

I more or less set my hours, so it's not something that would happen here. They also would not want to skimp on my services, since I have been of immense value to my employers.
