I had steamed brocoli last night, but I have never eaten grilled vegetables at all.

You have to try grilled zucchini, it's so good.

I was wrong, because my mom made that once about eight years ago. I didn't care for it. So I had grilled vegetables once before, but that is about it I think.

How old were you eight years ago? Nine or ten or so? Your palate's almost certainly changed since then; you'd very likely like it more now.
