You know, I can't take this anymore!
I'm so tired of the way it goes here now!
Because of the technical progress, people lost the possibility to work with their own hands! I don't know HOW is it connected, but they also have lost all the humane skills they had!
We don't want to help other people anymore. We even don't know how to act that in an extreme situation!
Who knows how to give a first aid to a man who fell down on a street?!
The sad thing is, I don't see the situation is gonna change somehow!

I'm willing to bet there are more people trained, properly, in first aid than at any point in history.  Fewer people work with their hands, but I don't really see how that's a bad thing.  More money was given to charity last year than ever before, we still want to help.  Some people don't know how to react in an EXTREME (to the max) situation, but that's always been the case.

Perhaps you're right that there are more TRAINED people than has ever been before! But people now are more feeble than before!
It's a real challenge to survive a day without a cell phone!
And they became more iron-hearted! that's the bigger problem, I guess!

By God, how I cannot stand nostalgic pessimists. If they're just going to keep on growing in numbers I too have a bleak vision of the future.

But sure lets ignore the fact that less people in the world is poor today than ever before. Lets ignore the fact that society today is more open and inclusive of different people than ever in modern history. Why should we take note of the fact that human intelligence and labour has given us improbable scientific and medical development that ensure that most of us will live to near our hundredth birthday, or even beyond. I mean how can we even appreciate these things when kids these days run rampant with their cell phones. Roll Eyes

Sure if you're a gay person who would not have been able to ever experience a fulfilling love-life without being ostracized or even killed by society, a black person being segregated into second-class facilities, a working-class factory worker tolling yourself to death at a factory, a woman with minimal job and career opportunities, or a person with any sort of disability or disease that has been made curable or more bearable by modern medicine and technology, you might be a bit skeptical about the virtues of the past. But at least the past had heart, they had love!

And apparently more people that knew CPR although there are actually no proof to support that claim what so ever.

Do you know what ConnoRhett. With all due respect, if you want a better tomorrow, with more heart and care, GET OFF YOUR LAZY ASS and create it, instead of making everything worse than it already is by unbearable complaining about it.

And thank you for allowing me to let off some steam by ranting a bit. It was well needed after this afternoon. Now please get you $hit together and stop crying like you're bloody John Boehner.

I look forward to people in the future looking back at how altruistic Americans were back in the good ol' 2010s with their kickstarters, their affordable care acts, and standing up for civil rights. Everyone pitching in and doing the right thing.

Nostalgia, ew.

People are living longer and are healthier than ever
There are less wars in the world than ever before
The crime rate has fallen worldwide.

^Just a couple of things. Things are getting better, and people who try to refuse change pick out little things (or make up things) to prove that the world was somehow better 100 or 50 years ago.

If you want to work as an agricultural peasant, just like most people did for almost all of history, just move to California's Central Valley. You can pick crops all day long. I'll be inside with the air conditioning and the internet.

You really love exclamation points! Perhaps to the point of overusing them! If you're using more than one exclam per hundred sentences you're probably overdoing it!
