Might be one of the few non-corrupt Chicago Politicians in recent memory, and yes, that intervention on behalf of Dan Goodwin was pretty impressive (imagine if it failed though, falling from the thirty-eighth floor of the John Hancock Center, as a result of the Fire Department's Actions, might well have been manslaughter. Byrne probably saved the Chicago FD's reputation.)
