God, you guys are not great with needles.  I give blood as many times as I can. I really hate lying to do it though.

They ask you if you're gay?

All they ask me is if any of the listed categories disqualify me, such as having sex with another man, which I have not.
My red cross is strict about these things down here, and they just assume that if your gay you have had sex, so there is that.

My mom needed blood transfusions many times, so I always felt it was my duty to donate blood.  It is an easy and effective way to potentially save lives.

Ah, the Red Cross. I go to Heartland Blood Centers. Still, that's really sh*tty.
What makes it worse it that I have O-, which means my blood is the most required of all.

i used to have a serious phobia.  just the thought of having my blood drawn could have given me a panic attack.

now it doesnt bother me too much.  but i turn my head and never watch them do it.
