Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Voting HT on instinct, but what actually is it (his Marian theology, not Marian theology in general)?

Very Protestant, also seems to ignore or not notice the Magnificat.

The fewer supernatural beliefs, the better. I congratulate him on skipping the Mary superstitions.

Ugh, your priorities are as horrible as they are unsurprising.

One hardly has to have a Mariology as High as mine to think that Bushie's views on Mary--that her personality and desires were essentially irrelevant to why God chose her and that she essentially functioned as an incubator--are misogynistic. I certainly don't think BRTD's Mariology is misogynistic, and it's in substance probably about as Low as Bushie's.

You literally know nothing of Mary's personality or desires.  You only know what other men wrote about her.

You can assume God picked her because she was faithful and a virgin... But its not like you have access to her memoirs.

I know quite a bit about Mary as presented as a figure in the Gospels. I happen to believe that the Gospels are more or less true accounts. I don't understand what precisely makes this difficult to distinguish from claiming conventional biographical knowledge, or why it seems to piss you off so much.

I'm not trying to give Bushie smug, dismissive contempt. I'm trying to give him blistering, infuriated contempt.

I wouldn't have created this thread if I didn't have reason to be personally offended. Other aspects of Bushie's theology are awful too, but they're not offensive in the same way.
