Imagine how much weight Bushie would lose if he converted to Islam and observed Ramadan.

None whatsoever. Do you have any idea how much sugar is usually consumed after nightfall... or at Eid, which is sometimes known as the Sugar Feast and with good reason? Come to think of it, Bushie would love Eid...

Bushie eats poptarts as a meal. There's no way he could possible consume more sugar.

Pakistan has sugar shortages every year when Eid comes round and the government (of whatever hue; PML, PPP, Military...) always gets terrified of riots if it runs out. Just saying...

Fair enough. The per capita annual sugar consumption in Pakistan is only listed at 23.9kg/yr while it's 74.8kg/yr in the United States, though, so Eid might just be a Wednesday at Grandma's House in suburban OKC.

The idea of pie for lunch gives me a genetic Grade 5 headache just thinking about it.

ODF is reporting a headache at work on the Facialbooks.

Will he make it till the end of the day?  And why does this chronic sufferer forget his medicine so damn much?  It's confounding.

How was the turkey wrap for lunch? Did you have carrots and celery, too?

The turkey wrap was delicious!  And, yes, I had the carrots and celery sticks.  I left off the ranch because, to me, that would negate some of the benefits of the veggies.

That's great! Keep it up ... you can start with changing your lunch habits and grow from there.

They were just pain killers that I forgot today, but you're right, I do forget my regular meds a lot.  I am going to start leaving some meds at each place I would stay so I don't run into this problem.

It's almost as if white carbs and processed snacks are bad for in you in every conceivable way. Next thing you know, you'll be telling us that they are also responsible for tooth decay. Speaking of which, did Bushie ever see a dentist? He mentioned a while back that he has been on a waiting list to see an Indian dentist for almost 2 years.

the causality on those maps has a lot to do with tobacco smoking, and not solely dietary habits.
Tobacco certainly leads to shorter life spans, but nicotine is a stimulant and, therefore, an appetite suppressant. There is no reason why cigarette use should lead people to obesity. If anything, it should do the opposite.

I was referring to the heart failure and life expectancy maps.

Bushie is practically atheistic in his behavior.
This is not true at all. An atheist would try (if in an imperfect, human way) to take a reasoned, rational view of things and make decisions based on observable facts. That is not what Bushie does ever.

No. A rational scientific atheist would try take a reasoned, rational view of things. He's an artistic minded type with nothing to live for.
Do you honestly think that's what informs his behavior?

Bushie is a submissive character who believes whatever authority tells him. These people exist regardless of belief system. In an atheist society, he would not be rational or scientific, but would just follow the most charismatic personality cult. That is basically what he is doing here. He's flat out said his conception of Christianity is just to praise Jesus, praise Jesus, praise Jesus--no real ideology around it, all he needs to do is praise Jesus. He's just hot for Jesus the same the way hardcore Stalinists in 1940s Russia thought Joseph was all-knowing and powerful. Jesus might as well be a man. It's atheistic, it's aspiritual. It doesn't ask any questions.

At least in the Catholic Church he'd be following the Pope and get some half-decent advice about how to live.
Blind faith is, by definition, an atheistic viewpoint? That's one of the most absurd points in the distinguished history of the Update.

Walter, it is 1545, 75 minutes left in the day, and I have told no one except my mother that I'm tired and have a headache.  I am very tired after getting 3 hours sleep, but I'm making it without too much yawning.  I've got a Coke Zero right beside me helping me stay awake.  My headache is only fluctuating between a Grade 4 and a Grade 6.  It's nowhere near going home levels.  Besides, we're starting to get into a time where it will be harder to take off due to the type and volume of work.
