This is a list of recent Presidents and their parties' overall change in numbers in Congress, from the first election both were elected (for example Obama in 2008) to the last election before they were termed out (For Obama, 2014). So basically the difference between 2008 and 2014. Let me know if there are any errors.

Obama (2008-2014): Senate -13, Rep -69 (as of Nov. 20 2014)
Bush (2000-2006): Senate -1, Rep -19
Clinton (1992-1998): Senate -12, Rep -47
Bush (1988-1990): Senate -1, Rep -19
Reagan (1980-1986): Senate -8, Rep -14
Carter (1976-1978): Senate - 3, Rep -15
Nixon/Ford (I think it's necessary to merge them) (1968-1974): Senate -6, Rep -48
Johnson (1964-1966): Senate -4, Rep -48
Kennedy (1960-1962): Senate +0, Rep -6
Eisenhower (1952-1958): Senate -14, Rep -68

I'm unsure on how to split the FDR and Truman years. Should it be 1944 since Truman began a few months after this, or 1946 which was Truman's first election with him as President?

Decades of Dem dominance post-WWII is largely attributable to Ike's disastrous midterm in 1958.  Obama might leave a similar legacy with the House.

For Obama, the Senate should be -13, not -15. 59 Democrats and 41 Republicans were elected in 2008, and 46 Democrats and 54 Republicans in 2014.

Are you counting from the midterm prior to their election or from elected to departure? Bush went from 50 GOP Senators in 2000 to 41 in 2009.

Correct. Fixed.

I'm doing from elected to midterm prior to their departure.
