FORMER NORTHEAST GOVERNOR WINFIELD, FOREGROUND, PITCHING IN TO HELP THE PEOPLE OF BUFFALO, NY, DIG OUT FROM UNDER RECORD SNOW FALLS

Press:  Governor, can you tell us why you have taken time out of your busy schedule  to be  here today in this almost impossible undertaking?

Winfield:  Thank you.  My heart goes out to the good people of Buffalo and the surrounding areas in their struggle against this historic act of nature.  I simply cannot stand idly by and watch these events unfold before my very eyes.  I am simply doing my part to help these poor people, these fellow Northeasterners and these fellow Atlasians.

The Northeast government and Assembly seems more interested debating things like making incest legal, making drugs and marijuana legal, making alcohol legal to minors, throwing out the window any laws to control distracted driving, thus leading to absolute carnage on our highways, making sexual relations in a parking lot legal, allowing open alcohol while driving, making  pornography free and available and legal to fourteen year olds, leading to further violence against women.

The list of stupidity goes on and on.

Myself, I would rather spend my time helping the victims of this, what can only be described as a monumental natural disaster.

I urge the government, both national and regional, to declare a state of emergency, and get these people the help they need and deserve.

Press:  Thank you Governor.

Winfield:  Thank you.  Now I have to get back to helping these people.

Well the fact that this is a state of emergency goes without saying. My crews have been on the ground since the first day of the snowstorm, and I commend you for helping them clear the snow. I wish the Knights' Templar of Rhode Island my best in their work to help the great people of Buffalo, NY.

Thank you dear Governor.

I cannot speak for the Knights' Templar of Rhode Island, as I know none of them, or if they even exist.

But kindly direct me to your issuance of a state of emergency order, as I cannot find it.  The last pronouncement I see from your office is November 13, and it had nothing to do with Buffalo.

I also see nothing in the Assembly discussing this emergency situation.

Winfield is someone who can always be counted on to stand with The People in Their time of need.

Thank you my dear friend Simfan.

Your words have moved me greatly.

I do what I can, as any caring person would.

Thank you Winfield. Your generosity and selflessness truly knows no bounds.

If you ever see fit to visit the Good People of Vermont in your travels, we would be happy to have you.

Thank you my dear friend Lief.

Your comments have moved me to tears.

Ah, Vermont, how well I remember.  During the last gubernatorial campaign, tears filled my eyes as I surveyed the devastation first hand, when  I stood upon the wreckage of war, and addressed the good people of Vermont,  and later, when I met many of them personally, trying, in my own small way, to bring comfort and consolation  to shattered souls.

Vermont will always hold a special place in my heart.  And I can assure you, that will not be the last time I will be visiting Vermont, and speaking with the brave people there who have gone through so much heartache and tragedy.

Leaving politics behind, it is always a good cause to help those in need. Great job!

Thank you JoMCaR.

Indeed, when it comes to helping those in need, there is no such thing as party lines.

And now, I shall return to my task of organizing the citizenry for flood mitigation.

FORMER NORTHEAST GOVERNOR WINFIELD TAKES TIME OUT FROM SHOVELING SNOW TO SERVE IN A BUFFALO COMMUNITY KITCHEN, PROVIDING A HOT MEAL TO THE LESS FORTUNATE IN SOCIETY

Press:  Governor Winfield, can you explain why you have taken the time to serve in this community kitchen today?

Winfield:  Yes, and thank you for asking.  You know, the people that come here and to other kitchens like this across this nation, are just like you and I, only they have had some unfortunate circumstances occur in their lives.  They deserve to be treated with respect and with dignity.  I have always believed that those who are blessed with abundance should share with others who may be less fortunate.  I have also believed that it could be any one of us who may be in these circumstances at some point in time, and that if we do find ourselves in this situation, that we would be thankful for the help ourselves.

I would like to encourage the good people across this nation that if they find themselves in a position to do so, that they would consider spending some of their time in volunteer work in some capacity to help the less fortunate.

Press:  Thank you Governor.

Winfield:  Thank you.

That's a very kind thing for you to do.  Also, it should be mentioned that former NE Governor AndrewCT(TX), the longest serving Governor in its history, has decided to help out after everything has been done, by sending a postcard from his home in Houston.

Thank you dear friend.

Well, a postcard from Houston would be nice, but what would be even nicer is if you came up here yourself and pitched in, before everything has been done.  I have a shovel waiting with your name on it.  Failing that, the community kitchens could always do with more volunteers.
