How long do you think Jeb Bush lasts in the Republican Primary if he decides to run? I know it depends on the electoral climate and the other candidates, but assume its a generic Republican primary.

He, like Hillary Clinton, has already probably been chosen as the nominee.

His turnout poison wild card is key. In the current climate a Bush v Clinton ticket will keep hundreds of thousands at home, the political equivalent of the 4 corner offense.

Lose nomination. If he does win Hillary will smoke him. There really isn't a desire for a Bush return.

I say he tanks in Iowa and withdraws, realizing the Republican Party is no longer the same party that nominated George W. Bush (or even H.W. Bush).

He probably meant Bush might already be the GOP Establishment pick (which, of course, doesn't guarantee one a nomination).

Likeliest scenario: He does well enough in early primaries to stay in the race, but by Super Tuesday results, he will have no path to the nomination and drop out. Sorta like Romney 2008.

If he makes it to Michigan, I will be voting for him in the primary. George Bush's brother will get smoked in the general election.

Sadly, the American electorate has a very short memory.

Bush winning the nomination depends on whether the anti-establishment Republicans can rally around a single opponent or whether they are destroyed in detail just like in 2012.

Honestly, the establishment candidates look like they could be just as divided, if not more divided than the conservatives.  We have Bush, Christie, and Walker who are all major contenders who occupy a similar political space.  Thats not to mention wildcards like Kasich or Portman.

Drops out after getting third in New Hampshire. Not like he's going to run.
