I think he would've won in a landslide. Discuss?

He's pretty popular. Sure, why not. Would have been a bitch of a special election though.

Not in a landslide, since the year was so terrible for Democrats in general and turnout was anemic. He probably would've won narrowly.

Obviously not. Florida loves criminals.

It wasn't worth the risk of finding out.

He would have won, but the FL Democratic Party definitely needs to clean the house of the 90 year olds running the place.  They need some fresh, bright, young new faces to head the statewide Democrats.  With the way FL's demographics have changed since the early 90s, it's unreal that the statewide party can be that piss poor and it is.

No, given how badly Congress's approval ratings were (especially Senate Democrats in "Southern States), he would have done worse than Crist.

He probably would've won by how much Charlie Crist lost (1-2 points), but I wouldn't be surprised to see him lose, which would've been very embarrassing for him.

This was an election in which no Democratic Governor broke 60 percent.

So I don't see Nelson winning a landslide against a Republican incumbent.

But he probably would have made up the one point difference.

No, but he would have gotten the additional 2-3 points for a clear win over Scott.

I think he'd beat Scott 50-48%.

He would have won by a margin 3 point margin of 51 - 48.
