I watched the immigration speech and I saw the follow-up in Las Vegas. I always likened Obama with Jed Bartlet, but never before did I feel the comparison was more apt. He feels like a President of destiny again. I actually think losing Congress was the best thing that could have happened to him -- he doesn't have any reason to care anymore about stepping on toes. He can finally have the fight that he's always purportedly wanted.

I would really approve more if he did some executive actions on popular issues.

IMO now is the time to start issuing pardons to drug offenders and get the base riled up with marijuana legalization. For the Democrats, it could steal Rand Paul's thunder and put him in the position where he has to work with the President in 2015 to keep his integrity. A thunderous blow to his primary chances.

He's usually made the right choices, but he has been unable to get any support from the Other Side.

He will soon be much more popular than Congress once the GOP starts exposing its extremism.

After releasing the torture report and agreeing to the new spending bill, he is now a HP in my mind.

Somewhat disapprove. Would like him to be more aggressive on Republican congressional appropriations nonsense and CIA reform.

I'm still at "somewhat disapprove", as I have been since about 2012.

Approve, but would like him to be more conciliatory and enact some Republcan polices to improve the mood in Washington. Now that the tea party is marginalized, they can be worked with.
