Moran - Called it Tongue
Burr - Yes, I am entitled to be biased
Toomey - Same but it can be justified more here.
Paul - He has impressed me in a lot of ways
Barasso - Generic Conservative who doesn't cause problems and votes the right way on what I care about
Risch - same
Roberts - same
Crapo - same
Sessions - I don't agree with him 100%, but he is the only one occupying the message space that some Democrats did in 2007 and it needs to be present in the conversation.
Portman I guess

Sullivan, Ernst, Cotton, Gardner and Capito have a good chance of making it on here next year.

Regardless of party. though partisan biases are in there:

1.   Mitch McConnell (R-Kentucky). Despite his environmental issues, the man is a workhorse. He's (to me) the the most disciplined leader of a Senate caucus we've seen in quite a while, and one of the best at understanding Senate rules. Just look at his record as Minority Leader - even facing 60 Democratic Senators, he managed to shape the political debate to the Republicans' liking. McConnell was ranked a workhorse by the Washington Post or some other publication in October. He's well qualified to become Senate Majority Leader.

2.   Rand Paul (R-Kentucky). I like Paul because of his 2013 filibuster on Brennan's nomination over the refusal to clarify whether drone strikes could be used within the United States. He's also marked himself as a civil libertarian (despite his disappointing NSA vote this week). I like Paul and so far, he's my candidate for the Presidency.

3.   Rob Portman (R-Ohio). I find Portman a genial Senator who has conservative bonafides but is intelligent enough to reach across the aisle and appear centrist-like. Actually, I can't name any major Senatorial achievements he's had but he's got a long distinguished record in public service.

4.   Elizabeth Warren (D-Massachusetts). I want to be clear, I loathe her politics, and I look forward to voting against her if she ever gets on a national ballot. But as a Senator, she's probably there for more than just a paycheck and genuinely believes in her Main Street agenda. Nothing in Warren's history or career suggests that she's anything less than a committed ideological figure who is interested in economic populism because she actually believes it works. (Scary to me).

5 & 6.   Bob Corker (R-Tennessee) and Lamar Alexander (R-Tennessee). I think this guy has been underutilized by the Obama Administration. He's in line to become Senate Foreign Relations Chairman and has demonstrated that he's serious about making a mark as Chair in Foreign Relations. I've also seen him along with Lamar Alexander as serious deal makers. I appreciate that quality in both Tennessee's Senators.

7.   Tom Coburn (R-Oklahoma). I realize Coburn is an outgoing Senator, but I've long admired Coburn for his crusade against government inefficiency, pork barrel spending, and his concerns about our deficits. Coburn is a true ideological guy, but isn't averse to forging friendships across the aisle (as he did with then-Illinois Sen. Barack Obama). I wish he was continuing in the U.S. Senate, because he's done good work.

Not sure on 8, and 9 or the rest. No other senators stand out.

Al Franken
Jeff Merkley
Sherrod Brown
Kirsten Gillibrand
Tammy Baldwin
Harry Reid
Tom Harkin
Mark Udall
Mark Begich
Amy Klobuchar

Honorable mentions: Dean Heller, Rand Paul

And I'm aware that three of them will only be in the senate for another month or so. Sad

Well to be honest, Flake is one of my favorite senators, but I completely forgot he existed Tongue

Rand Paul

Ted Cruz

Dean Heller

Tom Coburn would be #3 were he not leaving, and Marco Rubio would also make the list if his domestic policy could be divorced from his foreign policy.
