I counteracted the Senators thread, I might as well counteract the Governors thread.

Jerry Brown
Martin O'Malley
Steve Beshear
Peter Shumlin
Steve Bullock

I would've included Jay Nixon but his more recent handling of Ferguson has been atrocious (in contrast to the initial response). Also deleted Hickenlooper once I remembered Steve Bullock

That's a good list but since O'Malley is in his lame duck period, I will replace his name with gee...there aren't really that many good governors left. If the next 5 to 10 years make this country that much lamer, we will know part of the reason.

I have a strong feeling that Doug Ducey will be an addition to this list.

Shouldn't this be in the Individual Politics Section?

1) Steve Bullock - Purple heart the best. He definitely has potential to be a future rising star in national politics.

2) John Hickenlooper - He responded to the Aurora shooting very well. Also, clearly he's doing something right if he can survive two GOP waves in a row in an overall pretty neutral state.

3) Mark Dayton - I just think he's awesome.

4) John Kitzhaber - He's been really nice in his expansive opportunities to immigrants by opening the state border to them and ensuring they get a chance to receive driver's licenses. Everything else like the death penalty and the ACA he's just been great with.

5) Dan Malloy - He's a massive FF in so many ways.

Maggie Hassan, David Ige and Jay Inslee are other notable mentions.
