Probably the only time I'd consider voting for Love.

Fascist vs. fascist? I would leave my ballot blank.

Holy crap. This match-up may actually beat out the Brownback v. Fred Phelps someone did awhile back.

I would have to either vote third party, write someone in or leave this race blank because I would never willingly vote for a gay-fearing Mormon. One thinks homosexuals are pedophiles while the other strongly opposes a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants despite the fact that her own parents are immigrants.

If the choice is an honest, single-wonk homophobe or a probable homophobe with immigration hatred who will also tow the line of a regressive party,...then single wonk it is. Third parties and write-ins would go nowhere and getting Love out is important.

I s'pose you could say this is like a choice between J. William Fullbright and Joseph McCarthy, neither are good, but the former has other at least somewhat agreeable positions, the latter is nothing good entirely.

If I did not know Card personally, I probably wouldn't come to this conclusion, but what I have seen of him is some flexibility and affability.

And third parties/Indies/write-ins are practically useless, it falls to any Democrat to stop Love.

So yeah, I'm taking the bitter pill and going with Card.

Besides, unless he's got a lot of residencies or moved, he lives in North Carolina anyway, so the point is moot.
