Bushie, they were named such because of their local cuisine such as Back Door BBQ and the Wedge Deep Deuce Pizzeria, the Asian district, and liberal hipster areas downtown.  Not Braum's and Golden Corral. You have never visited the must-see OKC they've described.

lol

This is so typical of the Oklahoman inferiority complex. "See everyone, we're cool too!" The local media isn't immune either apparently. Obviously OKC isn't as terrible as it's made to be here, but that the news has to belabor this point is telling.

A good Christian like Our Dear Friend wouldn't be caught dead spending any time at those f@g places.  Real Oklahomans eat exclusively at sincere and heart-felt corporate entities.

Why would someone bother going to Oklahoma to see hipsters?

Cool!  You know where else Nat Geo labels as a must-see place in the United States?  The town of Bodie, California.  It's been abandoned since the 1880's, but I'm sure it's just as culturally impactful as Oklahoma City.

Also, here's a handy list of Top 10 Must See Elevators that Nat Geo desperately thinks you need to see.

Did NatGeo become Buzzfeed while I wasn't paying attention? Sad
