Portman does have a McCain 2.0 vibe to him but is he really that moderate? I guess I could vote for him if he was just against abortion and not in any way against birth control or stem cell research. Also, Ohio at this point is a reliable light Red State like Georgia or South Carolina down ballot and we can't be 100% certain Democrats can win there in a 50/50 race anymore. That said about the health of my party in a purple state and the fact SCOTUS could be in full control byThe Federalist Society as a result of 2016 would make we go Pillich.
