The Clintonians are finally beginning to rebel. Also looks as though Democrats are as afraid of electoral backlash as Republicans. They can't afford to lose the WH is 2016.

That was pretty funny and it didn't really come across as propaganda. It's just a portrayal of Obama as someone who is just fed up with this [Inks] which I think can be considered objectively true at this point

It definitely can be interpreted as what Vladimir Putin would call "ammosexual propaganda".

I always enjoy when SNL or The Daily Show make fun of lefties....the idiots in the crowd aren't sure if (or when) they are supposed to laugh or not.

Sometimes stupid Democrats need to be called out for letting Republicans look more credible.

My philosophy on political satire is it needs to be all liberal, all the time (like Family Guy and 30 Rock). If it's not liberal then it's f[inks]ing garbage and useless. So I would not laugh in such cases.

Given that it was John Boehner who refused to give Marco Rubio's(!) immigration bill (that had already passed in the Senate) a vote in the House, having Obama shove the poor bastard down the steps seems a bit harsh, but overall I think that the video's decent and a sign of how the bill->law process is basically dead without same party control of both houses of Congress and the White House.

I wouldn't go that far, but you have a point here.

If political satire is purely just saying, "how about those politics, eh," that sucks.  And, let's be honest, nobody at SNL has an actual opinion about administrative law or whatever.  And, certainly the audience has no idea about this whole issue.  So, it's not funny at all and as a political humor, it's pretty much garbage.

Political humor on actual policy is difficult.  They need to go back to the salad days when they were making fun of Bill Clinton for eating McDonald's too much.

Stopped clock much? That said, where was this when George Bush was President on all his executive orders?

So yeah, this definitely comes off as far too regressive.

A lot of overreaction in my view to a comedy skit.

I can remember when another Speaker refused to bring up a bill by a member of said Speaker's party on this issue, one that also had broad bipartisan support as well. It is hardly a new tactic.

Actually that enforcement only bill was brought up and passed by the House, with the support of Tom Delay, the last thing he did before resigning essentially and it did have a handful of Blue dog Ayes.
