because they see it going through states (Great Plains) that they do not represent and see it benefiting "those" (read republiproles) people and not people who vote for them or their constituents.

No, they oppose it because if they supported it the environmentalists on the left would be outraged

Or maybe because they oppose every other risk to our environment as well.

Or because it benefits the Nebraskans. We report, you decide.

People on this forum have repeatedly explained why that isn't true (transporting the crude via rail is more dangerous and would produce greater carbon emissions). I'm against the pipeline for other reasons but people who keep repeating this bad argument against it make me want to support it.

But Keystone wouldn't replace rail! Rail and Keystone have different uses and it wouldn't change a lot about rail transportation to build Keystone.

Well, the Republican who introduced the Keystone XL bill just managed to lose re-election in Nebraska in a Republican wave year.

Or maybe it's because many industry leaders have said that its completely useless at this point, anyways. Any more mention/pushing of this issue is for political gain (just ask Mary).

I'm sure they are lefties who oppose it because of the environmental concerns but other ones they are taking Tom Steyer's orders(a billionare green energy guy.) I'm sure they are ones who oppose it because it doesn't run through their state also. Basically its a mix of reasons as to why Dems politicians oppose it.

I'm pretty sure that environmental concerns and Tom Steyer's orders are the same thing.

But huge profits for the Koch syndicate that bought the 2014 election.
