As Secretary of The Interior, one of the responsibilities I have is the enforcement of healthcare, I have seen the problems of our current healthcare system, nicknamed Fritzcare, and I believe it would be for the best interest of the entire country to switch our healthcare system to something more beneficial. Therefore, I urge the Senate to pass a bill that would effectively change our current system to the Beveridge Model. Used in countries like the United Kingdom, Spain, and New Zealand, our healthcare costs would be significantly lower, as we see the healthcare costs as a percent of our GDP compared to the United Kingdom is 16% to 8.7%, nearly a 50% difference. The amount spent per person for health for our country compared to those who use the Beveridge Model is also cut by half, $7,700 to $3,100 respectively. The life expectancy in those countries are also two years longer than those here, and there is no doubt that much of that is due to widely available healthcare to all citizens. We need a change in our healthcare system, and I believe the Beveridge Model is the best way for Atlasia and all of her citizens to move forward.

(Unless there was already a change, then disregard everything I said.)

In recent days, there has been uproar in the country due to the fact that a police officer, Darren Wilson, shot and killed Michael Brown, a Ferguson, MO resident, had not been indicted, and protests have occurred in dozens of major cities from Seattle to Miami, and there have been some incidents with the protesters and the police in these areas. Due to these incidents, I'll be issuing a directive.

The decision to not indict Darren Wilson angered many people across the country, but the best way is to protest peacefully, and that will be the best way to enact real change in the country.

In the United States there's a lot of controversy on labeling foods with GMO's. I don't completely understand why, as people should know what they're eating, so I would like to ask our Senators to write up a bill that would require companies to notify a consumer if their product was produced by GMO's, if the product was produced conventionally, or if the product was produced organically. As far as I can tell, there are no GMO bills in the Senate, but I won't be looking through hundreds of bills to look for a GMO clause.

Senator Deus has recently proposed a bill to the Senate that would effectively stop energy efficiency standards in appliances. This bill is called the Household Appliance Deregulation Act. It's an inane thought that eliminating energy efficiency standards would be a good thing. I want to ask the Senate to reject this act, and I'd like to thank Senators TNF, Polnut, and Cranberry for their opposition to this bill.

Since the only directive I can find is one from drj in 2013, on an issue that's not very relevant right now.
