As someone who is attending college in New York City, I would be so stoked if they chose it

However, as someone looking at the Dems' political prospects, gotta go Columbus. Though I'm not sure how much the location of the convention actually matters.

RIP Birmingham. Cry

But seriously, please pick Philly! I'd love to see Hillary give her acceptance speech.

Isn't the fact that the RNC is also in Ohio a reason why Democrats are less likely to pick Columbus?

It will probably be NYC or Philly.

Phoenix would've been better. But I'll go with Columbus now.

No way they would've gone for Phoenix with AZ's immigration history. Not to mention how hot it will be in the summer.

I agree, it would have been as interesting as when the Republicans picked Minneapolis in 08.

I hope they chose Philly, but not because I live in the same state.

In 2004 they did it in NYC.  What the hell were they thinking?

I think it was a 9/11 thing.

Hillary should be nominated at Madison Square Garden, just like her husband 24 years before. Hell, is Zell Miller still crazy? Get him to do the keynote speech again just like old times.

Columbus, but because of a certain special interest -- it would be within easy driving distance for me.

Note that they also narrowed down the list of options for when to hold it:

As noted back in August:

https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=188192.msg4262067#msg4262067

I think Philly's the frontrunner.
