Does anybody here remember the heady good old days on Daily Kos in 2005 when he was the darling of the netroots nation ? He led the charge to take back America and ran against Jean Schmidt in a 2005 special election, losing in an overwhelmingly red district by a few points.

That guy totally fell off the map, and I haven't heard of him in years. He led the anti war charge against the Bush administration, which led to the landslide in 2006.

He had the wrong temperament for politics and I believe he accidentally shot a guy.

So did Cheney though. I think he ran against Sherrod Brown for the Democratic Senate nomination in 2006 but dropped out early.
