It's hard to see him as a Senator, I think he has a very executive based mentality.

What's so bad about Newsom? I've hardly heard anything about him.

Governor/Governor...with maybe shocking he hell out of the next Third-Way stooge for President, if he doesn't get put in the Cabinet.

Anyway the problem with Newsom is that he comes off as as slightly artificial.

He has good chances to become California's bext chief executive, and he will be a fine one. I don't think he's interested in the Senate. Probably Kamala Harris will run for the Senate in 2016.

He's got a pretty easy path to the governorship as Lt. Governor, and he has to wait till Boxer or Feinstein retires, then join a crowded primary to become a Senator. Governor/Governor

Pretty sure he wants to be Governor.

What's so bad about Newsom? I've hardly heard anything about him.

He's the reason that the new plans for a 49ers stadium in San Francisco fell through. Now I'll never get to see them live because I can't travel to Santa Clara. Angry

"Any two-some Newsom" should run for Senate in 2016 against far-left Kamala Harris assuming Barbara Boxer retires as most expect.  It'd be great to see a Dem on Dem brawl here in this state. Hasn't been one in years.

I've always gotten a Patrick Bateman kinda vibe from him. He hasn't done anything bad, but it feels like he just hasn't been caught yet.

Yeah, she's so far left that she argued that prisoners shouldn't be released from prison because they provided cheap prison labor.

Yes, you lefties continue to argue over petty issues like pot.  Let's see a good D vs D primary brawl!

Let's say Boxer retires in 2016 and AG Harris decides to run for her seat, things clear up pretty nicely for a Governor run in 2018. If Feinstein retires as well then thing's get even easier for him because potential opponents for him (Chiang, Garcetti etc.) may be eying the Senate seat and not the Governorship. If neither Boxer or Feinstein retire then thing's get complicated for Newsom because Harris then would be considering a run for Governor. But I think it's likely either Boxer or Feinstein retire or both.

I don't have a car. There might be some form of public transportation that can take me there, but I don't want to spend that much time on a bus/train.
