Isn't being self-critical of your own party's flaws inherent to its success?

I do understand it grates when people have the stupid urge to be all Moderate Hero and criticize every side "to give balance", but satire shouldn't be a political advert.

anyone ever seen The Thick of It, btw? That's proof that good satire can mock both sides, while not being stupid moderate heroes.

Satire done by conservatives against liberals is rare, but satire done by libertarians against liberals is not (see:  South Park, memes, etc.)
