I know this is very early, but who would you like to see run for MA-Gov in 2018?

Not a Democrat, but maybe Maura Healey?

I would like Dr. Keith Ablow to win the nomination as a Democrat so that Baker wipes the floor with him in a landslide.

If Baker pulls a Collins/Sandoval and becomes extremely popular, Dems will probably nominate some sacrificial lamb. If he doesn't, Seth Moulton would clean his clock.

I'm not sure if Moulton is a Senate type or a Governor type yet, but I could see him more in the Senate. But yes, Moulton would be a tough challenge even if Baker has approvals in the high 50s.

Baker will be a one-termer like Mitt before him.

Are you suggesting he'll retire in order to run for President? Tongue

How about John Kerry? I know, he'll be 74 in 2018, but why not?

I was thinking that.

Brown's popular enough in California. Kerry might be able to win races others would lose, so it would be good for the Democratic party. The big question is whether he'd want to risk ending his career as losing a bid for statewide office, or being a subpar executive.

No one is really suggesting either does anything after their current office.
