Not to rip off of RRH's question, but what are you politically most thankful for this year?

If you wish something was different, which individual elections (limit yourself to three Tongue)?

- Hillary running for president has gotten much more likely in the past year
- Wolf is my new governor
- Shaheen beat the carpetbagger

As for the three I'd change...

- Crist beats The Criminal
- Burke beats Walker
- Hagan beats Tillis

1. Getting to 54 in the Senate including wins in IA and CO. 2
2. Kasich winning by so much.
3. Hagan losing (though I would have preferred it not be to Tillis obviously)
4. That most of the pickups are by Republicans I find acceptable either wholly or in general
5. The GOP made gains in Governorships and held nearly all of their own.

Changes I would make
1. No Tillis in NC
2. Sununu running again in NH and winning
3. Corbett bowing out in favor of Jim Gerlach or someone like that

Former Constitution Party presidential nominee Michael Peroutka won a seat on the Anne Arundel County Council in Maryland.

-Four more years for Rick Scott.
-Orangeman is history in Florida politics.
-Patrick Murphy got 60% in a Republican district.

Changes/Wishes for the future
-Mary Landrieu gets reelected (unlikely at this point).
-Howard Stern resigns with SiriusXM in 2015.
-Allen West runs for Congress in Texas in 2018.

You want West to become the black Scott Brown? Also, why would a Republican hope Landrieu wins?

I'm thankful that Scott Walker won re-election and Bruce Rauner kicked that disaster that is Pat Quinn out of office.

I'm thankful that I don't expect anything good from politicians anymore.  This relatively new attitude has measurably reduced my degree of disappointment in life.  Of course, I'm still glad when good things slowly happen over time.  But I don't expect it.  That makes the surprise more pleasant.
