Hard to say.  I had a really bad case of stomach flu when I was ten and had to go to the ER.  I also had to be admitted to the hospital when I was 18 to have an abscess removed from my neck/shoulder.  I sprained/twisted my ankle twice when I was in high school.  When I was just little, I fell down a whole flight of stairs after crawling over an open railing, but they never found any serious injuries.

Almost two years ago now, I was brutally assaulted by a man who cut me off in a stolen car, while I was on my morning walk. It was not long before 7 in the morning, and I was minding my own business, with my iPod in my ears

He was being driven by a female accomplice, and as a result of a single punch, I suffered a nasty cut to my lip, the loss of three teeth, the breakage of another three, and one becoming loose to the point where it couldn't be saved. I then suffered from:

  • Being unable to speak properly for a few weeks (massively swollen lips, plus missing teeth meant that some sounds, notably my Ss, were slurred.
  • I suffered from high anxiety for most of last year, and it took me a long time to get back on my feet, so to speak.
  • In some ways, I'll never be the same again. For example, I don't walk around with music in my ears anymore. In a sense though, I feel like that's for the best.

You could say I'm all better now, I got dental implants/bonding to replace the broken/missing teeth, and in some ways, improved Smiley
