Proposing an amendment

I think this clause would basically allow abortion during the third semester, and I obviously don't support late-term abortion.

I withdraw my amendment if it is possible. I thought it deleted this part correctly, sorry, I was really tired Tongue

Well,
Sorry for not having been active before, here are my thought:

Regarding Section 1, if I understand correctly, The so-called 'right' to 'self-determination' has been recognised by Atlasia since Wilson's 14 Points, so what's the point with that???

Then, the term "oppressed" is deeply flawed I guess. What do you mean by opressed?

Iin which way Arab Atlasians have been oppressed for example?
This list is highly questionable...

This is definitely trash.

This is unconstitutional.

Is this bill an attempt to end the current unity of Atlasia?

And I second JCL's motion to table.

This bill, not only Section 1, is unconstitutional: the constitution with the right of free speech forbides any hate speech regulation, see Snowstalker vs the Midwest, or Scott vs the Northeast.

Section 1 has been amended to be the status of a constitutional amendment. Perhaps if you were active like me you would pay b
etter attention... Tongue
Lol yes I saw that but that would have still been unconstitutional Tongue.
(and still a frivolous section)

Simply, there isn't a single way to know if the person is indeed homosexual or not. This isn't like race where we can identifythat by the colour of their skin, sexual identity is much more difficult to identify. Someone could claim he's gay in order to get a federal hiring for example.
And there are people as well who have a lot of difficulter to determine if they're gay, straight or bi.
That's why I believe this clause should be repealed.

I object on the grounds that we should actively combat homophobia, cissexism, and heteronormativity.
This clause doesnt fight homophobia, it encourages fraud however.

Okay, here's something that addresses my first two concerns. I thought about adding the washrooms thing now, but I expect it'll be a bit more controversial, so maybe we should separate it from the easier stuff. If anyone wants to sponsor, go ahead. And if anyone thinks my ideas can be expressed in better language, make the change! But there ya go. Smiley

I prefer to abstain. I support most of the part of this bill (against sexual harassment,...) but considering I motioned to table the initial bill, voting Aye would be quite contradictory.

Daisy Duke? Is she the fiancee of Donald  Duke (Picsou, Riri, Fifi, Loulou,...). What's the problem with her? She seems to be respectable.
