This.  I'm expecting four years of gridlock in Alaska, since he was endorsed by Sarah Palin over her own lieutenant governor (who was known as a bipartisan figure).

HP. I'm not a fan of bigots, and I don't exactly trust him on the Medicaid promise he made with Alaska Democrats. He totally screwed over Hollis French as well. I would like to see him resign to get a Democrat with a veto pen in the Governor's chair, but he won't. Sad

I went to school with Hollis French's nephew on a random note.

He's not governor-elect, actually. He's already been inaugurated.

Oops, unfortunately I can't change the poll.

Not great, but at least he's not four more years of Parnell.

Oldiesfreak, apparently you have no understanding of why Palin endorsed him. Hint: It's a (more or less) local Alaska issue, and one of the few issues Palin's actually (more or less) right on.

Alaska, Hawaii and Kentucky are the only states to inaugurate their Governors before the end of a years, I believe.

I'm not sure what to think of a man endorsed by Palin.

Tilt FF. Begich's loss was a bit more bearable because AK was the only state this year to oust both a Senator and a Governor.

Apparently he started working at age 12 to help support his family after they lost most of their property in an earthquake. FF.
