McCain speaks the truth, obviously. Orban is a shocking disappointment, although those of us who had expectations are perhaps to be blamed.

Fidesz's economics are actually pretty illiberal, so it's even less of an epithet than usual. Meanwhile the post-Communist party is practically a liberal party.

Let's stick to using these kinds of epithets for real neo-fascist dictators. Orban's neither a fascist nor a dictator. Right-wing populist? Sure, but when you throw around words like these you tend to make actual dictators look less bad.
