It is pretty surprising that an American president has never been diagnosed with cancer while in office. Unless I'm forgetting someone? You'd think it would be more common.

If he resigns to fight (and beat) the cancer, it would interesting, but as anti-Obama as I am, I don't wish anything remotely bad on him.

Still, it would be crazy for a major 21st century leader to die in office from something other than assassination. Cancer still kills, but I just find it hard to believe that the President of all people couldn't beat it, with the level of medical care he gets.

Guys I know that is usually a very light-hearted forum, we all like to have our laughs and jokes, but can we please be serious and keep the tomfoolery out of here in this very challenging time for the President and his family? And of course keep the Vice President and his family in our thoughts as he prepares for his new role after this heart-breaking news.
