Inspired by the success of retromike's "Favorite States", it seemed only right to make the mirror version in response. After all, the bad defines the good.

Once again, 25 options is the limit. For those of you who did "Favorite States Round 1", this round should be as simple as shading the 25 that weren't favorited. For those new, you may have to work harder....but hey you may just figure what states you do like now.

Discuss with maps, and I'll chuck out the lowest 7-10(and therefore most redeemable) states out next Saturday.

Forgot to vote for Florida on the poll. Ugh. Just add one to whatever Florida's final tally is.

@Goldwater: Damn...I did, I'll just have to keep track of that one by the maps then and put it back in if it makes it to Round 2... Moral of the Story, don't create huge polls with a cat on your lap Tongue

On the bright side Minnesota gets to be Charlie Brown from Peanuts...it's quite appropriate XD

Anyway, I'm going with the other 25,lighter shaded ones being states that I couldn't favorite because of the 25 limit.

Okay, then here is my map:

Because DC is included, I had to have one state that I didn't vote for in either this or the favorite state  survivor. I picked Idaho because of west coast bias. Tongue

This was the original 24 rejected (New Jersey got the middle because I like Philly, New York, coasts, and real winters) the really light ones were Honorable Mentions that were cast out.

No apologies for The Plains, Nevada, Florida or the Louisiana/Arkansas/Texas trangle, but some towards Alabama, South Carolina, Mountain West, Northeast, and Hawaii.

Also, here is a map that combines my votes in both of these series, with shading being used to differentiate the closest 5 and strongest 5 states in each category from the rest.

Florida and Carolina's FTW! Cheesy
But why Wisconsin? Sad

Anyways I'd say the state that I love the most and hate the most is Florida. I love New Smyrna Beach, and rarely the weather seems really nice and cool (picture swimming in a cool creek, except you're walking in it). However there are a lot of traffic, heat, humidity, exurbs, tourists, heat drenched with humidity, and unless if you want to break the bank at the Mall at Millennia or a really nice diner, mediocre to bad food. Oh and did I mention the heat and humidity? Plus the sports are pretty forgettable. And as always the Magic is failing. However Miami's Dolphins are doing okay. Though I'm more of a Packer's fan.

I know it's hot. That's why I picked it. Wink

Admittedly, I do prefer usually fairly dry heat, like California. However, I will still easily pick humid heat over anything resembling the cold. That's why Wisconson is at the bottom.Tongue

True, true. However I'm more the type of person that likes a refreshing cold. Though the more I'm alive the more i realize refreshing cool and snow don't mix. Sad

It'd be interesting to see DC or Colorado actually win in the other one, given that so far they seem have the most love.

This, although I like all the states a little.
I also excluded DC because it's not technically a state.  If I included it, it would probably be my least favorite of all.
