McIntyre? He would never be able to win the democratic primary.

Well, I guess he wouldn't be terrible. But not a first tier candidate.
Lean rep with him.

Not true. I am pretty sure he would run ahead of Hillary (who will almost certainly lose the state).

This

To be honest, Mike McIntyre would have had problems with the base because he's really conservative. Shuler is clearly a conservadem , but not so much.

Shuler was the leader of the Blue Dog caucus and voted against Nancy Pelosi for Speaker. Can't imagine there is a marginal difference between him and McIntyre.
There are:
-Mcintyre did have a more anti gay record: Shuler voted to repeal DADT, McIntyre didn't
-On health care: McIntyre voted to repeal Obamacare, Shule voted against to repeal
-Shuler was as well pro environment

Democrats finally have a candidate to run against Burr in Mayor Chris V. Rey.

Rey is mayor of Spring Lake (pop. 13K), a town in Cumberland County near Fayetteville. He was previously mentioned for other statewide offices, specifically LG, but I give him credit him for stepping up to the plate here.

Here's Rey and his family last election campaigning for Sen. Hagan:

Decent candidate?

Reportedly Greg Brannon filed to run against Burr.
I guess he has no chance at all?

Miles,
Is it a good thing for the LA democratic party that more than 1 candidate is running?

Honestly,
I think Kennedy's lead is mostly because of name recognition, I'm not sure it's him who will win the race in the end.

^ Well, Mary Landrieu started out as Treasurer. I wouldn't mind seeing her go the Mike DeWine route now Smiley
She's considering???

Thanks - was just dying to get your take.
Miles, I like you, but seriously, Wulfric has said nothing wrong, he has the right to say he endorses Caroline Fayard.
