Tony provides more amusement, but is far more dangerous.

Also you kind of expect nuts to be elected in Texas. It's Texas. Less expected in (non-Queensland) Australia.

Not sure, since I don't know much about Tony.

I have many relatives in Texas, so I'm watching Greg Abbott closely, although I don't like him much.  I wasn't so much happy that he won this year as I was that Wendy Davis lost.  Aside from the Bushes and Mike Williams, Texas Republicans are a pretty horrendous bunch.

The Governor of Texas is a relatively low-power executive position. Most of Texas is governed by various boards and commissions and elected officials independent of the Governor's Office.

By contrast, the Prime Minister in a Westminster System is a somewhat frightfully powerful figure, though usually not to the extent found in Canada
