Well?

This one is quite hard for me, seeing it's my birth town versus one of my favorite places I've been to

Which one were you born in? Glendora is just about 10 miles north of me.

Glendora. We moved a long time ago, so I don't really remember much about it. I've practically lived my whole life in Florida. So anyways where are you from? Rowland Heights?

Glendora is west of Pasadina. Near West Covina & company.

Asheville is basically the biggest population center in western North Carolina. There's not much to see in the city, but the surrounding forests and "mountains" are nice.

I really don't remember. Definitely more than six years. Maybe seven, or eight. It's been a really long time ago. However we usually go to Pasadena, where my family's ties truly are. That and Wisconsin.

Oh I see. I actually rarely go to Glendora, I usually travel west to L.A., east to the Inland Empire, and a little bit south to Brea.

As for your area, the only time I was in the southeast was for a layover in Charlotte. I remember it was really, really forested. The mountains near Glendora were actually turned from a National Forest to a National Recreation Area, so it may become improved and more popular.

Oh cool! Anyways TBH I'd probably live somewhere where there's actual seasons and actual topographic height differences. Glendora, sadly, doesn't really have that much seasonal difference. That is unless if you're in the mountains. Wink Plus California apparently never rains there much, so that's a thing. Undecided

Asheville is where I go fro Spring Breaks, the city is quite a relaxed and tranquil place and the surrounding mountains are a beauty.

That city alone puts North Carolina in the favorites.

Glendora is just another decidedly un-Nor-Cal  place, and without much of a winter, or rain....no just no.

If this were Ukiah or Placerville, the story would be different. But past Big-Sur (sans Santa Barbara), the cities in the state just go downhill.

What is up with this forum and having a bias against places with no seasons?

I LOVEEE L.A.'s weather (or lack thereof). Sometimes it feels like there's no concept of time passing and it's just one long dry summer where there's always fun things to do.

Well. I get the whole long, dry summertime, but here in Florida you get either humid and hot or humid and cold. Once in a while the air is dry. Anyways Id think the place for me is Virginia. North Carolina would be good if it wasn't the breeding ground of Bible thumping.

However Florida is nice because once in a while when it's not unbearably humid and/or hot, I could get a tan. Thanks God for the fact I can tan quite quickly. Smiley

Asheville seems like a wonderful city in its own right, and its close to the Great Smoky Mountains. Glendora just seems like another boring run-of-the-mill LA suburb.

But Glendora has the Donut Man!

Bland suburbia vs. one of the coolest small cities in the country? This isn't even close, IMO.

Assuming cost of living cancels out, Glendora. That's pretty easy. Mild, Mediterranean climate trumps all. Plus you'd have the culture of L.A. just down the road.

I'd rather live almost anywhere in Appalachia (excepting some of the most profoundly indigent counties) than almost anywhere in SoCal, and Asheville is one of the best places in Appalachia, so the obvious answer is obvious.

I'm pretty sure I'd choose almost anywhere in California over anywhere in the South (though I will admit Asheville is by far one of the better places in the South). Glendora isn't anywhere near the worst of California, though.

It's New Year's Eve, I'm in Glendora
I'm the only living person in Glendora
Heading east on the freeway
Left my prom dress on the bus stop in Duarte
I switch the rules, you take advantage
You know I always like to play the victim
And would you fuсk me? Because I'd fuсk me
Am I your wetnap? Freestyle walkin'

I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again
I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again

I'm on my way, I want to see you;
You're in the bedroom with some dancers underneath you
I come inside, I hear the door slam;
You tell me if I really loved you I'd get with them
They make me sick, you make me sicker
But I want to please you so I go and I get with her
I close my eyes, I think about me
I'm just your wetnap, freestyle walkin'

I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again
I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again

I should find someone better for me, but Mom says we're born this way
Every time I come over to your house you just shіt on my face
And you know it, you know it, you know, you know it really freaks me out

I drove for hours on bad directions
I arrive; there's something you forgot to mention
An afterthought, straight to the tabby
"Sorry, angel, went to Reno, happy happy"
It ain't the rest—why do you, Jenny?
I'm in a booth, it's almost twelve—your favorite Denny's
Another year! I need a sundae
I'm just your side bet, freestyle walkin'

I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again
I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again
I cry, cry, cry, then I complain
Come back for more, do it again
