I didn't care that Martha Coakley lost and I honestly found it funny that the Republican won in Maryland. But not gonna lie, Pat Quinn going down stung a bit. Rauner is a massive HP.

Epic FF; one of the greatest, as much as I dislike his pro-choice and other socially liberal stances.  Could easily help save the Party of Lincoln in the Land of Lincoln, as well as nationally.

I was joyous when he defeated Quinn, a Democrat I've longed to defeat ever since he took office.  For me, that was the icing on the cake for this year's elections, and was enough for me to consider it a success.

Not a fan of some of his stances (like his stance on life issues, for example), but FF for defeating Quinn.

FF, If he can't bring back Illinois after a terrible 12 year stewardship of democrat governors who pandered to the unions then nobody can.

Not sure how anyone can have that strong of an opinion yet, but I gotta go with FF.  His views match up well with mine, and God knows IL needed a change.

He's a little bit too cuddly with Chicago interests for my tastes, but nevertheless he's an FF for knocking off Pat Quinn, and otherwise his views and mine seem to aline.

Massive HP for ousting The People's Pat, one of my favorites Governors.

Its a shame they went with the plutocrat over the Democrat.

Don't attribute Obama's success (despite 6 years of Republican opposition) to Rauner for any economic prosperity in Illinois.

Seems like a generic, dollar-store Chicago version of Mitt Romney.

"I'm a multimillionaire private equity guy who hasn't created jobs, per se, but see, I'm just like you working stiffs! Look at my Timex watch! Look at it, I say! Look how wide the band adjusts to accommodate chubby, proletarian wrists!"

There's a big difference though. Rauner cares about the well being of all of the population, not just 53% of it, and is way to the left of Romney overall.

FF for defeating Quinn, who was pretty much a crook.

One of the few cases where R beats D,but not shocking considering who else ran in 201 that was D.

He'll probably prove himself HP very quickly though, because that's just what Republicans do.
