  If you think a comparable organization would not have existed without Assange, then clearly you ascribe the indispensable man myth.  He happened to be there first, but he was not necessary, merely useful.  Plus, Assange's ego and personal problems probably mean that overall, he's done more to harm whistleblowing than to help it.
