Now wait a minute, Lief's surplus (as well as Polnut's) is redistributed. The Senate I get is Lief, Polnut, Cris, Myself, and BK.

Ah, do we redistribute surplus here? I forgot which form of IRV Atlasia used. What proportion of total ballots does it take for a candidate to be elected?

Rounding down?

And how do we determine which ballots are redistributed? Is it whoever got their votes in first that has them continue to count for their first preference?

Here's the Senate as of my latest calculation -

Lief, Cris, Polnut, BK, and Myself - though JCL and I are pretty close to deadlocked.

64 voters, quota 11 (last voter: wifikitten)

Round 1

Lief: 15
Cris: 13
Polnut: 11
BK: 9
Max: 6
JCL: 4
SWE: 3
Spiral: 2
exhausted 1

Lief, Cris, Polnut elected.

Lief overflow redistributed:

Lief: 11
Cris: 13
Polnut: 11
BK: 112/15
Max: 6
SWE: 413/15
JCL: 4
Spiral: 2
exhausted 1

Bacon King elected! Cris overflow distributed:

Lief: 11
Cris: 11
Polnut: 11
BK: 112/15
Max: 62/13
JCL: 511/13
SWE: 413/15
Spiral: 2
exhausted 1

Now it's time to distribute my overflow and then eliminate Spiral (one vote to Max, one vote to JCL) but I'm not messing with those crazy fractions. Fifth seat is neck and neck between Max and JCL.

As of this moment, it looks like the two party behemoth may have returned, with Labor gaining two seats, Federalists gaining one, and TPP losing one, if these returns continue as they have.

If JCL somehow wins re-election, this game is beyond broken. Any person voting for that ingrate, and thus subjecting national governance to an unending stream of intellectually shallow diatribes from that particular illiterate should be ashamed of themselves.

Not all Atlasians share your view. Your radical attack against religious freedom will not be allowed to proceed any further. What I do is provide a needed service to the fine folks of Atlasia. Provide a right leaning counterweight to your radical socialist agenda.

A "right leaning counterpoint" to Labor would likely be more effective if they were literate and didn't vote for Labor bills because they didn't read them.

It was a matter of interpretation. When I discovered that the Labor interpretation was misrepresented I tried to switch my vote but my switch was denied due to senate rules.

You have to have a cut off time to end votes with or they would extending forever and no vote would ever be final.

If I win and Polnut loses I will resign so Polnut can be appointed to fill my seat. He deserves a win more than me
