Thanks for the excellent participation in the first round, here's the next go around. Because of a five way tie, 11 states were knocked off (and therefore given the most love, most notably Colorado which no one voted against).

This time around, you may pick up to 16 states [and yes no tricks since D.C. was knocked off in the 11].

The map is below, but here are the results

Most hated:

Oklahoma (5.1%)
Alabama (4.5%)
Texas (4.1%)
Arizona (3.9%)
Arkansas (3.8%)
Kansas (3.8%)
West Virginia (3.6%)
Mississippi (3.6%)

Least hated

Colorado (0)
Minnesota (0.36%)
Michigan (0.4%)
Oregon (0.4%)
Washington, DC (0.6%)
Washington State (0.6%)
Vermont (0.6%)
Virginia (0.6%)
New Hampshire (0.6%)
Maine (0.6%)
Pennsylvania (0.6%)

Everything else in between

Alaska
California
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Hawaii
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Kentucky
Louisiana
Maryland
Massachusetts
Missouri
Montana
Nebraska
New Jersey
New Mexico
New York
Nevada
North Carolina
North Dakota
Ohio
Rhode Island
South Carolina
South Dakota
Tennessee
Utah
Wisconsin
Wyoming

So first, sorry Goldwater. No Minnesota in this ever, given you were the lone vote against the state, it was knocked out.

Second, unless there is a freak tie, the "bottom" 3-6 states will be eliminated next Saturday morning.

Looks like none of the states I chose last round were eliminated. Not surprising.

Okay now I'll be putting up my map. Since Maine and New Hampshire got eliminated, I was able to get the exact number by eliminating the Honorable Mentions (in light blue last round) and Indiana.

Why is Arizona so disliked? It has the Grand Canyon!

Because the two things this forum hates the most are Republicans and hot sunny climates.

@Goldwater: And don't forget the horribly bad drinking water.

@Mike: But seriously, bad drinking water, deadly summer heat, nose-bleedingly dry air, and Phoenix practically contests Sacramento when it comes to disappointing capitals, and Republicans. And not the Rockefeller kind.

More surprised by how well Hawaii is doing if anything. That or the huge backlash on Nevada, figured there'd be more Atlasians fooled by Lake Tahoe or dig Vegas enough.

So Arizona water leaves spots, they're cultural trademarks! Smiley

Continuing with my climate diatribe: Dry air>>>>>humidity. But that's just my personal preference. Or acclimatization, since I grew up in a L.A. inland suburb with no air conditioning in my house. I even have a little heater in my room during the non-summer, and I never let it get below 74 degrees.

Was Idaho abolished? It's neither eliminated nor proposed.

@Max: Oh damn, missed again... and it was Minnesota the first time around. And I can't edit polls yet

Whoever posts next will have to write it here if they don't like it. It was originally still in at 2.7% though.

...Third Time's the charm I guess? Tongue

Round 3 is up, voting here is now closed...and don't worry the Idaho is back if you really want to hate it.
