So naturally, Civil War ensued. The South performed slightly better than IRL due to the earlier start date, but they are still facing inherent disadvantages due to the embargo and lack of industrial capacity. Lincoln is being challenged by the Democrats on a peace platform and by members of his own party who seek a less reconciliatory leader in dealing with the conquered provinces.

Yes, this election is also a foregone conclusion, but we are out of eligible Democratic nominees, so a primary we must have!
